Mawnan console table crafted from oak by TOAST New Maker Will Nock, whose furniture is inspired by his home on the Cornish coastline. He uses traditional hand tools to slowly shape locally sourced wood into functional forms, each a reflection of the rugged landscape he draws from. Carved to a standing height with long tapered spindle legs and a hand-textured top featuring sweeping grooves, reminiscent of a calm tide. An additional level lies beneath, comprised of narrow oak spindles. The table is treated with a natural oil and wax blend which leaves a tactile finish. Each varies slightly in shape and colour. This item is part of our New Makers programme. In its sixth year, five makers demonstrating excellence in skill, originality and craftsmanship have been chosen by a TOAST panel. We offer business and marketing advice, as well as a platform to sell their pieces until the end of this year, with full profits being returned to them. Delivery is included in the price but, as this item is dispatched from the UK, import duties and local sales tax may be payable on receipt for countries outside of the UK.
